I will start with introducing what testing is, and which parts of a web application can be tested with different methods. I will continue with introducing the test-driven development model - as counter model against traditional software development models, followed by a summary of how a development team could be organized to produce better quality code.

After a very quick introduction into Unit Testing and the benefits and problems it brings I will conclude my session with a number of case studies of major and smaller software development teams regarding Test-Driven development and what it did to their code quality.

The D-BUS Inter Process Communication mechanism is the basis for many system-related functionality on Linux-based systems. Both GNOME, KDE, as well as the Open Moko Linux computing platform use it extensively for everything related to talking to services and hardware. Skype, as well as other applications, provide D-BUS APIs as well.

In this presentation I will be presenting a PHP/D-BUS integration to allow PHP to talk to D-BUS aware applications. I will demonstrate controlling Skype from PHP, as well as the implementation of PHP-GTK based applications on the OpenMoko to talk to, and use the different hardware services it offers, such as GSM and GPS.

ZRTP is a draft of key agreement protocol proposed by Phil Zimmermann (the father of PGP),
which has been specifically designed with a specific setting in mind: voice communication.
The aim of this presentation is to discuss security issues related to the use of this protocol, starting
from an analysis of the protocol specification to conclude on discussing potential improvements to
the protocol or to the way of using it.

Regarding the first topic – probably the most technical part – in the past I have performed a rather
accurate analysis on draft 3 of the protocol by means of two different protocol verifiers (namely
AVISPA and Proverif), followed by an updated work on draft 4 (I gave a talk about this at the Net &
System Security meeting in November 2007). Nowadays the protocol has evolved to draft 11
(submitted on November 26th, 2008): it has not gone through substantial changes, but I am willing
to re-run the entire analysis to check this version, and I think P2P Conference 2009 would be a good
place to present the results to the community (at least at a high-level, eventually going deeper with
technicalities if the audience demands it).

Going further, there are some ways of improving the protocol or how it should be used: these
approaches essentially regard secure ways of verifying that the key exchange was successful, which
can be handled by the protocol itself with a slight modification, or by the software that implement
this protocol. I think that, after presenting these ideas, it would be interesting to discuss them with
people attending the conference.

Presentation and slides will be in English.

Since 2004 we are organizing technological events in one frame or another, which, we may say, are unique in Bulgaria or even in our part of Europe.

We have always relied on the fact that togheter with you we can make these events useful for all of the participants.

We are now organizing the next event, which will take place in Veliko Tarnovo in the coming year.

It will be based on the following major topics:
 - Web Technologies
 - Mobile Marketing, Applications and Technologies
 - Blogs as Media
 - Web 2.0 Projects and Ideas

The event will be held in two active conference days, beginning in the previous day with the arrival of the participants, accommodation and social activities in order to start with a web 2.0 atmosphere.

April 17 accommodation and social activities (party)
April 18 conference
April 19 conference and departure

Saturday and Sunday will be the conference’s active days and the different streams will be held in 2 different halls in 2 different places, close to each other and meeting the highest requirements of an event of this type.

Each conference day will be separated into two streams and the participants may shift the streams whenever they wish. We also plan to include separate seminars and unconference sessions in the program.

Venue
Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgarian: Велико Търново, sometimes transliterated as Veliko Turnovo) is a city in north central Bulgaria and the administrative centre of Veliko Tarnovo Province. Often referred to as the “City of the Tsars”, Veliko Turnovo is located on the Yantra River and is famous as the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire, attracting many tourists with its unique architecture.

The old city is situated on three hills, Tsarevets, Trapezitsa and Sveta Gora raising amidst the meanders of the Yantra.

Tsarevets housed the palaces of the Bulgarian Emperors and the Patriarchate, as well as a number of administrative and residential edifices surrounded by thick walls. Trapezitsa was known for its many churches and as the main residence of the nobility.

In the Middle ages it was among the main European centres of culture and gave its name to the Tarnovo Artistic School of architecture, painting and literature. With its spectacular location and magnificent architecture, Veliko Tarnovo is considered to be one of Bulgaria’s most beautiful cities.

Veliko Tarnovo is an important administrative, economic, educational and cultural centre of Northern Bulgaria.

OpenID is easy, quick and (in some cases) secure way to represent yourself in the Internet. The user can enter many websites with only one identifier. Also the user can see the data, required by the website and may decide whether to submit them or no.

This way the user knows, at any given moment, who is using his/her data and for what purpose, because the user has allowed that. From another point of view, when the user associates the OpenID, anyone will know that he/she is that particular user without confusion of names, nicknames and user identities in different applications.

The lecture will show and demonstrate, the OpenID protocol, how it works with examples, the ways to exchange public keys and how to use digital signature withecliptic curves to increase security and for actual identification through that protocol, using the SIM-card of your mobile telephone.
